Market customers enjoyed tasting Local Farm Meats from our Meat Farmers on Saturday. Our Day of the Grill event presented by the folks from The Hearth and Grill Shop gave market visitors a chance to taste the great local farm meats our Tennessee Farmers bring to market each Saturday of the year. Chef Jeff Lunsford grilled almost 40 pounds of Beef, Chicken and Lamb in 4 quick hours on two Large Big Green Eggs provided by the Hearth and Grill Shop located on Thompson Lane in Nashville. Folks enjoyed grilled chicken, ribeye, hot dogs, rib roast, flank steak, ground beef sliders with aged cheddar from Kenny's Farmhouse Cheese on Jones Mill Farm sourdough rolls. All of the local farm meat came from Beaverdam Creek Farm, Bear Creek Farm, Peaceful Pastures, River Cottage Farm, Triple L Ranch and West Wind Farms. And yes, all was eaten in record time thanks to Chef Jeff Lunsford and the 2 large Big Greens Eggs from the Hearth and Grill Shop!
